Heidi McAnnally-Linz served as the IHF’s second Executive Director from 2007-2010. She is currently President of the IHF Board of Directors.
Heidi now works as the Fellows Coordinator of Yale’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and is simultaneously working towards an MPA in International Policy and Management at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. Heidi graduated from Haverford College with a BA in Political Science, focusing on Latin America and Peace and Conflict Studies. In 2006 she was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to study indigenous organizations and civil-society-led development in Latin America. Over the course of her fellowship, she collaborated with indigenous groups in Ecuador, Panama, and Bolivia on projects ranging from health and education to reforestation and micro-enterprise.
Heidi founded the IHF’s partnership in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala beginning in Spring 2004. She has lived in Santiago on numerous occasions to oversee IHF projects and to spearhead the IHF’s involvement in reconstruction efforts following an October 2005 mudslide. Along with Ryan McAnnally-Linz, she designed and manages the IHF’s Just Apparel initiative.
