Partnerships

The IHF is convinced of the power of synergistically interdependent, mutually beneficial partnerships.  Our entire organization is structured around the idea that reciprocal relationships of respect can change the world, one person, family, project, village at a time.

Our vision of partnership goes deeper than the pragmatic, institutional relationships so often encountered between businesses, politicians or even NGO and social movement leaders. We know that genuine relationships require communication; lots of it. Patience and tenacity come in handy when the conversation is between representatives of radically different paradigms. We pay close attention to cultural and power-related dynamics, knowing that only by working through these issues can we overcome the North-South divisions that dominate international development work.

Young leaders in the U.S. are transformed by personal relationships with project leaders and participants in developing countries and our international partner organizations benefit from a perspective and resources that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

If you share our passion for synergistic partnerships, please consider

contributing to the IHF as a volunteer, adviser, or donor.
